China Association for Promotion of Health Science and Technology Holds 2026 Branch Work Coordination Meeting

On April 18, the 2026 Branch Work Coordination Meeting of the China Association for Promotion of Health Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as CAPHST) was held in Beijing. The meeting was attended by more than 150 participants, including CAPHST President Zhu Jun, Secretary-General Xia Cencan, department heads, branch chairpersons, branch secretaries-general, leaders of Party working groups, and other staff members.

In his address, President Zhu Jun outlined the opportunities and challenges facing CAPHST’s development. He emphasized that all branches must further strengthen their awareness of compliance and responsibility. While upholding professional integrity, they should actively pursue innovation, continuously expand their scope of development, enhance academic influence and industry contribution, and work together to advance the cause of health science and technology.

Secretary-General Xia Cencan introduced relevant regulations governing social organizations and the requirements for the Association’s work. Focusing on key areas such as strengthening the Party building in social organizations as required by higher authorities, advancing the reform and development of industry associations and chambers of commerce, case studies of violations of rules and laws within industry associations and chambers of commerce, work precautions for branches, and strategies for branch management, he put forward requirements for the work of branches.

Deputy Secretary-General Shen Genxing reported on the 2025 performance evaluation of specialized committees. Approved by the CAPHST Council, the following committees were rated as "Excellent": the Professional Committee of Reproductive Medicine and Reproductive Genetics, the Professional Committee of Critical Care Medicine and Organ Support, the Professional Committee of Breast Reconstruction, the Professional Committee of Pediatric Allergic Diseases, and the Professional Committee of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Technology. Fifty-nine specialized committees were rated as "Qualified," four as "Basically Qualified," and three as "Unqualified."

Subsequently, three branch chairpersons shared their work experience regarding public welfare activities, youth talent cultivation, and annual conference organization and preparation.

In addition, the meeting organized branch signings of responsibility documents for building integrity within the Party and for ideological work, demonstrating CAPHST’s determination to further extend Party building efforts to its branches and consolidate responsibilities.

Finally, participants engaged in discussions on matters related to research management, continuing education, and science popularization.

The meeting not only comprehensively summarized the work achievements of the branches over the past year but also clarified the direction for future development. Attendees expressed that through strengthened collaboration and joint efforts, they would actively promote the steady and long-term progress of their branches.
