Standard Search For Updates
The Alliance assists members in establishing a standard dynamic monitoring mechanism, conducting regular standard searches to promptly identify standard updates. During the transition period from publication to implementation, both old and new versions may be used concurrently. The Alliance recommends that members complete all preparatory work within the transition period to ensure immediate compliance upon implementation of the new standard.

Standard Dynamic Monitoring: The Alliance assists members in establishing a standardized monitoring mechanism to accurately capture standard development, revision, and withdrawal information, ensuring timely awareness of standard changes.
New Standard Acquisition and Controlled Management: After a standard is updated, the Alliance guides members in obtaining the official version and incorporating it into an external controlled document management system, including guidance on acquisition methods (purchase, authorized download, official channels, etc.), verification of authenticity and completeness, and establishment of controlled management processes (document list updates, uniform identification, distribution as needed).
Comparison Analysis of Old and New Versions: The Alliance provides professional comparison analysis services to identify technical and non-technical changes, issues comparison analysis reports, and assists in organizing internal training. Technical change criteria: any change or addition to testing methods, instruments, targets, parameters, scope of application, etc., constitutes a technical change. When technical changes exist, the Alliance guides members in initiating the change process and assessing whether scope expansion is needed.
Method Validation Support: For standards with technical changes, the Alliance assists members in conducting method validation, including resource validation (personnel competence, equipment status, facility conditions, environmental compliance) and technical validation (accuracy and reliability of measurement results). The Alliance can provide validation plan templates and technical support.
Change and Scope Expansion Application Services: After internal preparations are complete, the Alliance assists members in submitting change/scope expansion applications to accreditation bodies or competent authorities. It is recommended to complete multiple tests to familiarize with the revised method, evaluate measurement uncertainty, conduct internal result monitoring and validity verification, and organize or participate in inter-organizational comparisons when necessary. After document review or on-site audit approval, members may use the new standard to provide relevant services and issue reports or certificates with appropriate markings.
Service Tips: Both old and new standards may be used during the transition period. Change or scope expansion applications may be submitted in advance without waiting for the implementation date. After the implementation date, the old standard is generally no longer usable (except under special provisions). The recommended monitoring frequency is no more than 2 months.
