On the morning of May 14, 2025, Dr. Lan Weiguang, President of the Singapore China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the "Singapore China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology"), led a delegation to visit our association and had in-depth exchanges with the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Association"). The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as deepening China Singapore technology cooperation and promoting cross-border technology transformation. At the symposium, Dr. Lan Weiguang introduced the core mission and achievements of the New China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology. He emphasized that since its establishment in 2003, the association has been committed to building bridges between the scientific, industrial, and academic communities of the two countries, especially in the fields of environmental protection technology, membrane science, water treatment, and food and drug treatment, accumulating rich practical experience. Lan Weiguang mentioned that Singapore's innovative model in membrane technology application and decentralized sewage treatment has provided a model for the world, and he hopes to have the opportunity to carry out docking work with the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology in this technology field.
Vice Secretary General Zheng Hualin welcomed the delegation's visit and highly praised the positive role of the New China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology in promoting scientific and technological cooperation between China and Singapore. He pointed out that as an important platform in the field of China's science and technology service industry, the Science and Technology Promotion Association has developed rapidly in recent years, implementing scientific and technological innovation and industrialization work in various industries through its branches and member units. Through international exchanges and mutual recognition of standards, promote the cooperation and implementation of new technologies, products, and services among countries and organizations in various regions, and assist in the exchange of scientific and technological achievements and the coordinated development of industries between international regions.
